UCLA is the new Ojai Pac-12 Team Champions!
Bruin No. 5 player Clay Thompson won the clinching match to give UCLA the 4-2 win for the nation’s top-ranked team.

Gage Brymer from University High School in Irvine captured his third straight Ojai Boys’ CIF Invitational title on Saturday, becoming the first player in 77 years to win three in a row.
“It’s such a special tournament for me,” Brymer said. “I’ve been looking forward to this day for a year now. I’m glad I was able to pull it off.
Brymer got off to a mediocre start against Taylor Fritz of Torrey Pines High School as it was 3-all in the first set before the future UCLA Bruin Brymer got red hot and reeled off nine straight games for the 6-3, 6-0 win.
Fritz’s mother is Kathy May Fritz, a former Wimbledon quarterfinalist who first won The Ojai 14s in 1970, won the 16s in 1972 and then won multiple women’s Open singles and doubles titles. His father Guy was a former ATP Touring pro and was on hand for the match.
Three Weil Academy students won Ojai titles on Saturday: Girls’ 14, Hannah Lairmore; Girls’ 16s, Jessica Livianu and Boys’ 16s Aiden Jiang .

Future UCLA Bruin Mackenzie McDonald will player former Ojai Open champion Lester Cook in the Men’s Open singles final Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
Top-seeded former UCLA player Noelle Hickey will face No. 2 Ashley Harkleroad on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the Women’s Open final.
