Registration Information

Open entrants register online using our tournaments site on USTA Serve Tennis. The link will be available for entrants when registration opens.

Open Event entries open on Monday, March 10, 2025

Open Event entries close 11:59 PM on Sunday, April 13, 2025

Event Fees: Singles: $85 & Doubles: $120 per team

A doubles team entry will be considered complete only when both players have entered and the full entry fee has been paid. Open players may play both singles & doubles, but may not enter any other events.

All entrants must sign a Waiver of Responsibility form and return to the Tournament Director via email.

Trainers will be on site for Thursday, Friday, Saturday at the Ojai Valley Inn, & for the Finals on Sunday at Libbey Park.

Men’s & Women’s Open Singles Qualifying

Draws are limited so we will have a Men’s Open Singles Qualifying event, open to a maximum of 64 entrants, & a Women’s Open Singles Qualifying event, open to a maximum of 32 entrants, played on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at the Ojai Valley Athletic Club, 409 S. Fox Street, Ojai. Seedings, main draw, & qualifying selections will be made by the Tournament Committee. An alternate list may be established after the Qualifying rounds are played – that will be on a stand-by basis & up to the discretion of the on-site referee.

The Draws

Men’s & Women’s Singles Qualifying Event will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.

Men’s Open Singles:

16 players will be selected to automatically advance the main event (round of 32) that will take place on Thursday, April 24th.
64 players will play 2 qualifying rounds on Tuesday, April 22nd, resulting in 16 qualifiers advancing to the main event.

Women’s Open Singles:

8 players will be selected to automatically advance to the main event (round of 16) that will take place on Friday, April 25th.
32 players will play 2 rounds on Tuesday, April 22nd, resulting in 8 qualifiers advancing to the main event.

Tentative rosters for these events will be available on the Serve Tennis tournament site the Monday before the first day of play. Please note that since the draws are limited, not all entrants will be accepted into the open events. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to accept or refuse all entries at its discretion. Players not accepted, & not being considered as alternates, will not be charged.

Draws with match times and locations will be posted on the Serve Tennis tournament site as soon as they are available, usually by Monday noon before the first day of play. The website is the best way for us to communicate efficiently with you. Please read all the player information pertaining to you and your event. If you have a problem or an unanswered question, you may email the Open Tournament Director.

Withdrawal Information

If a player in the Open events wishes to withdraw, that information must be e-mailed to the Open Tournament Director at least seven days prior to the start of the tournament to receive a refund of the entrance fee. This e-mail must contain (1) the withdrawing player’s name as listed on the entry form, (2) the event in which the player is participating, and (3) the reason for the withdrawal. In doubles, if there is a substitute player, please list: (1) the withdrawing player, (2) the partner who will remain in the draw, and (3) the full particulars (as listed on the entry form) of the substitute player. The substitute player must also mail or bring to registration a completed & signed entry form & Waiver of Responsibility. A refund of a withdrawing player’s entry fee may be made at the discretion of the Tournament Committee.

Match Check-in

Open players should check in to play at the site of their first match at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled match time. In the event of no-shows, the Tournament Committee reserves the right to allow selected alternate stand-by players into the draws at the discretion of the on-site referee.

Matches will be played at The Ojai Valley Inn located at 905 Country Club Drive, Ojai, CA

Play for the main draw Men’s Open event starts on Thursday, April 24, 2025 for Singles, & on Friday, April 25, 2025 for Doubles.
Play for the main draw Women’s Open event starts on Friday, April 25, 2025 for Singles, & on Saturday, April 26, 2025, for Doubles.

Policies

Open players wishing to retain their amateur status & college eligibility must comply with applicable USTA & NCAA rules regarding expenses.
Family, coaches & friends of players will be required to purchase spectator tickets to gain entrance to Libbey Park, the Ojai Valley Athletic Club, & the Ojai Valley Inn courts during the hours of play. All players will be required to present identification to gain entrance at these sites.
