DESTINATION OJAI – This award will honor the Ojai Valley Chamber Member who has demonstrated creativity in contributing to the development and expansion of the tourism industry in the Ojai Valley.
| Ojai Tennis Tourney – For nearly 120 years, Ojai has warmly welcomed tennis players from around Southern California and beyond with the playing of the oldest amateur tennis tournament at the same site. Each spring since 1896, thousands of players, coaches and families have experienced tennis, tea and tradition at The Ojai.
We have some stiff competition: The Lavender Festival – On one day each June, thousands of visitors flock to historic Libbey Park joining lavender loving locals for Ojai’s Lavender Festival. In the park and throughout town, they learn, taste and shop…celebrating lavender’s natural healing/relaxing properties, the wonders of Ojai’s Mediterranean environment and our welcoming small town hospitality.
Ojai Playwrights Festival – The nationally acclaimed Ojai Playwrights Conference showcases Ojai as a creative destination, bringing high-profile playwrights, actors, celebrities and theater patrons to Ojai for its Farm-to-Stable Benefit and Summer New Works Festival. These affluent, mostly LA-based visitors – Ojai’s primary tourism market – are key influencers in the desire for the Ojai experience. |
